Every year my mom and I go to the pumpkin patch. Even though I've now entered adulthood, this is a tradition I refuse to give up. It is one that grounds me to the season and makes me feel nostalgic. This particular painting was inspired a gloomy, yet vibrant, day in a pumpkin patch near Bellingham, Washington.
