During a 10 hour layover in Anchorage, Alaska on our way to Hawaii, my mom and I took a trip into the Alaskan wilderness. The contrast between the two destinations was stark and almost comical. I was reminded of my home in Washington and of my love for wildflowers. Given my love for flowers, I knew I had to capture the dewy, mountain scene with my brush.
